The Association of the Friends of the Museum of the Emigration, Communities and Portuguese Descent exists as a proposal and a challenge to the society becoming another instrument at the service of the objectives of the Museum.

 OBJECTIVES

• To Support the collection, study, preservation of the museum material and documents fund.

• To contribute to the divulging of the objectives and the activities.

• To contribute to the enrichment of the museum material through donations and acquisitions.

• To stimulate the creation of partnerships.

• To promote the contact with town councils, associations of emigrants and emigrated or descending people.

• To provide useful information for the enrichment of the Thematic Rooms of the virtual part of the Museum.

• To promote the enrichment of the Library of the Migrations, through the donation and acquisition of books, magazines and other publications.

• To promote the interchange with institutions of the same nature.
